Laser Hair Removal or Electrolysis?

Electrolysis works by passing a small amount of energy into the hair follicle through a very fine needle. This then produces heat which destroys the cells which produce the hair at the base of the follicle. Like laser, more than one treatment is required as the hair needs to be in its growth cycle when treated. Electrolysis is not recommended for large areas and is more effective for facial areas. Electrolysis can be used to treat all skin and hair types.

Laser Hair Removal – uses strong beams of light to target and penetrate areas of hair follicles which then creates heat in the follicles which in turn destroys the hair producing abilities.

Electrolysis – Fine needles are inserted into each hair follicle individually and energy is released down into the hair follicle destroying both the hair and the follicle.
